Job Description:

EXPERIENCED Collision Paint Prepper
First Team Hampton Chevrolet Collision Center -- Hampton, VA

BUSY SHOP!! GREAT PAY! Very busy shop!!! Now hiring!!!

Position Overview:

Preps and paint repaired auto body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.


*Prepares vehicles for final paint work.
*Notifies management of any additional repairs or parts needed.
*Maintains personal and shop tools and equipment in a proper state.
*Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
*Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
*Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and reports any deviations to management.
*Cooperates and assists other personnel where needed in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
*Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
*Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Experience and Skills:


*Minimum 2 year of automotive collision paint repair experience preferred.
*Dealership collision repair experience preferred.

*Must be able to work on and repair multiple makes of vehicles.
*Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
*Must have the ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely and efficiently.

*Valid driver's license required.

Required experience:

Pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record
Pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen
